Safety Training & Compliance

  • General Safety & Work Rules
  • Development of Safety Culture

As employees, it is imperative that we apply the most effective solutions to all the challenges we encounter in our jobs.  Typically, those challenges include issues such as productivity, cost, quality, schedule and safety.  Unfortunately many have the misconception that there is cost to safety that comes at the expense of the productivity issues such as cost and production.  Research on the other hand has shown just the opposite.  Without safety, productivity and cost effectiveness are not maximized.  Employees need to be held accountable for safety in the same manner as production and quality.

When this occurs, then a true "safety culture" exists.  This training program describes the elements of a safety culture and shows the basic steps to be taken in creating one.

  • Supervisor Responsibilities Training

A vital part of Training and Safety is recognizing the importance and implications of your safety role; this Safety Training course will equip you with the knowledge to fulfill your safety responsibilities.

Workplace safety is much more than wearing your hard hat and safety boots.  The Safety Training course is designed to identify the important elements that you can apply on the job.  For instance, are you aware that one of the best safety tools available is the Job Safety Analysis (JSA)?

This course helps you to better manage safety in the workplace — it takes a look at what you need to know to make an impact.  Numerous learning objectives are built into this course; however, the three key ones are:

  •
    • know your safety responsibilities
    • know how to/be aware of the need to plan safety into the job (JSA)
    • understand the incident reporting and investigation process.

You have a responsibility for safety in the workplace.

In carrying out these responsibilities, you demonstrate that safety is part of the job

  •
    • Field Inspections
    • Job Planning & Hazard Assessment
    • Conduct safety meetings to comply with OSHA mandated standards
