Extra High Voltage Training

·       EHV barehand and hotstick training (69kV to 745 kV)

Bare-hand and Hot Line tools

Live line Maintenance Techniques are a vital part of the electric power industry. These work practices offer many benefits to the individual power companies, since the line is to remain energized , the loss of revenue is eliminated and power outages experienced by the customer are minimized. Even though Live Line Methods may be more costly in some instances, compared with de-energizing line work, the revenue savings will  more than offset this in most cases.

We train two traditional methods of Live Line  Maintenance:

Live Line Tool Techniques and Live Line Bare-hand Techniques on voltages 69kV – 745 kV, both of these Methods are essential when working only using the Hook Ladder to energize a lineman.

This training can be conducted under de-energized or energized conditions, whichever is appropriate for the customer.
